Where Your Donation Goes

As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we pride ourselves on transparency. When you donate to Balthis Family Rescue, you become a direct partner in our lifesaving work. Here’s a breakdown of how your generosity fuels our mission.
Veterinary Care: Our Top Priority
The single largest portion of our budget is dedicated to veterinary care. Many cats arrive injured, sick, and in desperate need of medical attention. Your donation ensures we never have to say "no" to a cat in need.
- Spay & Neuter: Every cat is spayed or neutered to prevent future litters and improve their long-term health. This is the cornerstone of responsible rescue.
- Vaccinations: We provide age-appropriate FVRCP and rabies vaccinations to protect our cats from common and deadly diseases.
- Emergency Treatment: From treating infections and abscesses to performing life-saving surgeries, your support funds critical emergency care.
- Medications: This includes flea/tick prevention, dewormer, and any necessary antibiotics or specialized medications.
Daily Needs: Food, Litter & Supplies
While our foster homes provide the love, we provide the necessities. Your donations help us purchase high-quality food and litter to keep the cats in our care healthy and comfortable while they await adoption.
TNR & Community Support
A portion of our funds is allocated to our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts. This includes the cost of humane traps, spay/neuter surgeries for community cats, and providing food for colony caretakers. By managing community cat populations, we are addressing the root of the homeless cat problem.
Every single gift, no matter the size, makes a tangible impact. A $25 donation can vaccinate a kitten. A $50 donation can feed a community cat for a month. A $100 donation can cover an emergency vet visit. You are the engine behind every life we save.
